Do you love to make quilts, but never have time to finish them? Then  I can help...

My name is Leslie McSorley and I am a long-arm machine quilter. My quilting machine allows me to quilt your quilt quickly and easily. While this is machine quilting, the machine is hand guided, making each piece unique.

There are unlimited design possibilities depending on the top and your particular preferences. A single pattern can be quilted over the entire top, or quilting can be done to enhance the piecing or appliqué designs.

This is an example of custom quilting used to enhance the piecing of the quilt. Circles in the "fans" and feathers in the open muslin areas increase the motion in the quilt. This top was pieced by Mary for her daughter's wedding. View details of this and other quilts I have quilted on the "My Portfolio" page

I use a Freedom model machine
from American Professional Quilting Systems.

There is no computer, the machine is entirely hand guided, so each quilt is unique. I can load a quilt up to 120" by 130".

Pricing is based on size and complexity of the design. Please visit the  Quilting Services page for details.

Time to completion also depends design complexity and the time of year, but I usually can return your quilt in 3-4 weeks.

This is another example of custom quilting used to highlight the piecing in the quilt. This is a Nana's Garden pattern pieced by Cindy.

It's a Jungle Out There

Machine Applique quilt embroidered, pieced and quilted by Leslie McSorley

To just add texture to a quilt an all-over edge-to-edge design is very nice. Gail's quilt "Around the Twist" is quilted with the double plume pantograph. You can see the subtle stitching in the beige parts of the top. All-over quilting is also good on busy fabrics where detailed quilting would be hard to see.

This baby quilt was machine embroidered by Sarah and then quilted. Custom quilting really stands out in the wide pink borders and simple quilting in the embroidered blocks highlights the delicate embroidered flowers.
